Mar 2016

9DW was founded with the idea to create the first distributed machine learning framework Iyo.

Apr 2017

Iyo supports the main machine learning frameworks in backend Tensorflow, Pytorch, Chainer.

May 2018

A smart scheduler is integrated in Iyo to adapt to changes in the network of users connected.

Jan 2019

Iyo is applied on governmental project. 9DW applied for an open call for “AI Hospital System”, a strategic innovation creation program (SIP) of the Cabinet Office, together with Yokosuka Kyosai Hospital.

Oct 2019

9DW invests on Iyo to make it more stable.

Apr 2020

Iyo will be released as a beta version to academic partners and research institutes.

In 2022 it is likely that the cloud market will reach more 140 billions dollars. However in the decades the favorite approach to treat the exponential amount of data was to increase exponentially the hardware performances (the Moore’s law shows a quasi constant multiplication by two of the computing capacity of our machines every two years).

This market is mainly occupied by the big players (GCP, AWS, AZURE) however they offer expensive plans for users, centralized systems that implies an important security risk and require to renew the park of machines almost every years. Therefore there is a gap in this market where Iyo is competing: the first open-source decentralized cloud network that is eco-friendly for the planet and free for the users.

The difference with other similar solutions (Golem project, Deep Cloud AI, Seti@Home, Storj, iExec … ) is that Iyo is the first open-source distributed system empowered by AI, that can scale heavy deep learning applications over remote machines in a way that creates value for all the users and that doesn’t require heavy capitals to run. Tensorflow (Google), Pytorch (Facebook), Horovod (Uber) requires the user to buy or to have access to expensive machines and therefore don’t make use of the available computing resources around the user network.

Tsuyoshi was born in Tokyo in 1979. After graduating from high school, he entered a computer vocational school because he wanted to engage in the development of artificial intelligence. While conducting the company's operation, he also performs university lecturers and performances.

My research focus on unsupervised and semi-supervised solutions to enhance the capacity of autonomous systems. I worked in private and public research companies on different projects covering signal processing, optimization, segmentation problems using mixed approaches and cross-disciplinary studies.
